Sustainable Salmon Tour + Demo Cooking Class


Our Sustainable Salmon class & fish farm tour is back, this time as a demo class and with a completely new menu!

Saturday, May 14 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm*
$50/per person +HST

*Meet at The Flying Apron at 10:45 to drive to the farm.

This class starts with a private tour of the Sustainable Blue fish farm, just down the road from The Flying Apron. Get a behind-the-scenes look at sustainable land-based fish farming.

Return to The Flying Apron for your class where Chef Chris Velden will show you how to break down a whole fish and how to make:
• Italian Marinated Fish (Pesce Crudo) with Radish Salad
• Smoked Salmon Papillote with Wine and Butter
• Wild Rice and Spring Vegetables
• Luscious Lemon Tart

No special equipment is required for the tour, footwear will be provided at the fish farm.

Each class includes instruction by our own Master Chef, a full meal shared with your class and all recipes to take home. Our beautiful Cookery School kitchen is licensed so you may order local beer and wine to enjoy during your class.

Minimum of 6 participants is required to run the class and the maximum class size is 10 students.
