Baking with Local Grains
Jess Ross of Gold Island Bakery will teach the class the tips & tricks for successfully baking with local grains. Learn how to add locally grown, highly nutritious and delicious flours to your baking. You will learn to work with local whole wheat and rye flours in a basic bread and some pastry recipes. Jeff McMahon of Longspell Point Farm will talk about growing grains in Nova Scotia (including the flours used in the class!). You will be able to take home recipes, techniques and freshly milled flour to work with.

Minimum of 6 participants is required to run the class and the maximum class size is 10 students.
