Flying Apron Cookery School Classes

We offer a variety of classes in our beautiful cooking school kitchen. Classes are taught by our Chef, Chris Velden. Chef Chris has been cooking and teaching for more than 35 years across Canada, the United States and in his home country of Germany. As a Certified European Master Chef and Culinary Instructor, his expert qualifications match his passion for teaching. Chris loves to provide culinary education to the food-inspired public at our Flying Apron Cookery School.

Our teaching kitchen is licensed so you may purchase a glass of local beer or wine to enjoy with your meal during class. Contact us to book your spot in one of our scheduled classes or to arrange a private class.

Demonstration Classes

Watch and learn from our Chef during these 2-3 hour classes. Share a meal with your classmates during the demo and take home recipes for the items made in the class.

Hands-on Classes

Our hands-on classes offer you the opportunity to practice new skills as you cook alongside our Chef in a 3-4 hour class. When you’re finished cooking you get to relax and enjoy a meal with your classmates. Recipes for the items made in the class are included.

Specialty Classes

Occasionally we partner with local food producers, special guests and subject experts to offer specialty classes. Some of our recent classes have included chocolate making, beer & wine pairing classes, musical guest “chefs” and mead making. We also plan to have bread making, gluten free cooking and other specialty classes on offer. Stay tuned for details!
